About me

Hi, my name is Diana and I’m delighted that you’re here! ๐Ÿ˜Š

SOME THINGS I LOVE & CARE ABOUT: Personal development, social justice, animals, dancing like no one’s watching, researching, learning new things, coming up with solutions and more effective ways to do things.

MY STORY SO FAR:

Since my teenage years I’ve wanted to help people in some way and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to graduate in Clinical Psychology, several years ago. My degree allowed me to have some amazing experiences, such as doing psychological evaluations to children, teens and adults, as well as leaving my country of origin (Portugal) to work at a psychiatric clinic in Belgium.

I’ve also had a number of different jobs throughout my life, from washing pans & dishes at a youth hostel, to promoting cat food at supermarkets (surprisingly cool jobs!).

In 2015 I discovered the amazing possibilities of Digital Marketing and decided to focus on this field. Slowly, but surely, my life unfolded in ways I didn’t expect:

  • I began learning all kinds of strategies and tools to build and grow online businesses;
  • I became a tech-savvy virtual assistant in the process;
  • Eventually I also realized that I wanted to pursue some art-related activity as well. After all, art had always been a part of my life in some way, and had always brought me joy: whether it was by creating simple doodles during boring classes or telephone conversations… or playing around with watercolor and using it to decorate envelopes that I would then send to a faraway cousin (it was so fun seeing how ink + water would unfold in such unpredictable ways when mixed together!).ย ย

SOME OTHER RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME:

– I love learning new things and often get into very deep, rabbit-like learning holes; ๐Ÿ˜œ Some examples: poker, horse breeds (horses are my favorite animal), Taoist philosophy & the I Ching, social research studies, meditation, digital marketing, the history behind common expressions & inventions, memorization hacks,ย  Qi Gong, cat’s nutrition (and I don’t even like cats that much!), documentaries on all kinds of topics, alternative healing techniques, ed tech, etc…

– One of my worst pet-peeves? Websites that don’t care much about the user experience. You know…those with annoying banners that we can’t close? Or the endless pop-up messages? Yeah, those… ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

– Watching pet rescue videos on You Tube is one of my favorite hobbies. And funny memes. And Esther Perel (relationship expert on YouTube).ย

– I love pets… and creating a big shelter for a bunch of them when I retire is on my Bucket List!

– I am desperate to find the perfect homemade bread recipe!

– I love Butter Chicken, a traditional dish from Nepal, and Mussaka, from Greece; my favorite dish from my own country, Portugal, is probably bacalhau com natas (codfish with potatoes and cream)…

– I’m starting a family tradition where I’ll be cooking an international dish with my son every month.

Also, I love quotes! Here’s one of my favorites:

ยซ I hated every minute of my training,ย but I said “Don’t Quit, suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion. ยป

(Muhamed Ali)

Oh, yeah!!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
