I’ve had the opportunity to manage a group for Health Coaches (Health Coaches Community) and I LOVED the experience!
My client had a low budget so she decided that I should focus only on engaging with the current members, and I did this either by commenting on my own or by posting as if I were my client.
My tasks were the following:
- tagging new members on a weekly Welcome post
- building engagement with occasional posts where I shared resources and tips that were relevant for the group members (mainly about marketing and how to build their business)
- replying to questions from the members
- writing a weekly recap post (posting as my client)
- notifying my client of spam postings
If I had the opportunity to try to grow the group I would try the following strategies:
- sharing the link to the group in several promo threads from other relevant Facebook groups (if allowed)
- creating a video talking about the group and sharing it on social media
- searching for health coaches on social media and sending direct messages to them inviting them to the group
- creating a quiz that was relevant to our target audience (e.g. “How well are you marketing your Health Coaching business?”, sharing it on social media and then, after they had completed the quiz and been shown their results, I would have added a link to the group with an exciting call-to-action (e.g. “Now that you know what your marketing is missing, come meet with fellow Health Coaches & and let’s all learn, collaborate and grow together!”)
- etc…
Below you’ll find some screenshots that showcase a sample of my contributions to the group. Desktop viewing is recommended (but you can also zoom in on the images). I had to hide the members’ names and profile pictures in order to keep their identities anonymous:

SHARING TIPS FOR CONTACTING A WEBSITE (INSTITUTE OF INTEGRATIVE NUTRITION)

SHARING VIDEO CREATION TIPS AND RESOURCES
These were just a sample of my interactions in the group, which I managed for 5 months (until my client decided to focus solely on her other startup, World’s Marathons – which I became a part of)!
I would love to get to know your FB group and chat with you about your needs.
I really enjoy helping people out in these types of communities, making members feel heard, engaging with them, sharing useful resources, creating content from scratch, creating images… And I can also take care of the most boring tasks for you, such as screening and accepting new members, handling spam posts, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to check my portfolio!
